Silvia A. Conca Messina is attending the Rural History Conference 2017 in Leuven, 11-14 September. She organised the session on International food markets and local production systems in the 19^th-early 20^th centuries and she’s presenting a paper on Growth of international markets and transformation of local production systems in the Italian agro-food sector (1861-1914). She’s also giving a speech (with Luigi Lorenzetti, Università della Svizzera Italiana) on The transformation of dairy processing in the Alpine area from late 19^th Century to World War II.
